Privacy Policy
HOWELL Electronics is committed to protecting your privacy and personal information. We collect the information necessary to process orders and improve our services. This includes contact and account details (name, email, shipping address, phone), order history, and, if you use our smart apps, device and usage data. For example, Howell’s policy defines “personal information” as data like name, address, phone number and email. In line with industry practice, if you do not provide required data (e.g. shipping address), we cannot fulfill your order.
We use your information to process purchases, communicate order status, provide customer support, send relevant marketing (if you opt in), and improve our products and website. We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with trusted service providers (payment processors, delivery partners) who need it to complete the service. We implement appropriate security measures to protect your data, but no internet transmission can be 100% secure.
Cookies & Tracking: We use cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences and analyze site performance. You can disable cookies in your browser, but some features may be affected.
Your Choices: You can opt out of marketing emails at any time. You can also request access to or deletion of your data by contacting us.
Compliance: We comply with applicable data protection laws (such as India’s privacy regulations). As Howell notes, we are “committed to protecting the privacy, confidentiality and security of your personal information”. Our employees and partners are required to uphold these standards.
Return & Refund Policy
Your satisfaction is important to us. If a product arrives damaged, defective or is not as described, you may return it for a refund or replacement. Contact our support team within 14 days of delivery to start a return. We will provide instructions and a return authorization. All returned items must include all original components, manuals and undamaged packaging. Once we receive and inspect the return, we will either send a replacement or refund your purchase (whichever you prefer) according to our warranty terms.
Defective/Damaged Products: For any defects or shipping damage, notify us within 14 days. We will cover the return shipping cost and ensure you receive a working product.
Wrong Item Shipped: If we send you the wrong item, we will arrange a return and promptly send the correct one at no extra cost.
Change of Mind: Unused items may be returned within 7 days. They must be in like-new condition with original packaging. A restocking fee may apply and you may need to cover return shipping. Customized or clearance items may not be refundable.
Process: Email (info@howellsmart.in) or call our helpline (9955557577) for a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). Pack the item securely with all accessories, and ship it to our service center. Until the warranty expires, approved returns will be handled as repair/exchange under warranty.

Shipping & Delivery Policy
We ship to customers across India via reliable carriers. Orders are usually processed within 1–2 business days. Shipping charges are calculated at checkout (free above ₹999). We strive for 5–7 business day delivery in major cities, and 7–14 days for remote areas. Howell similarly notes 5–7 days in metro and longer for rural areas. During peak seasons or due to carrier delays, delivery may take longer. We will send you a tracking number once your order ships so you can follow its status online.
Order Tracking: After shipping, you’ll receive tracking details by email. You can also log in to our website and use the Track Order page.
Shipping Carriers: We use major couriers (e.g. Amazon, Delhivery, Blue Dart). Delivery attempts are made to the shipping address you provided. If unclaimed, packages may be returned to us.
Shipping Address: Please double-check your shipping address before confirming payment. We are not responsible for non-delivery if an incorrect address is provided.
International & Tax: Currently we only ship within India. For business export orders or international shipments, customers are responsible for customs duties and compliance.
Warranty Policy
All HOWELL products come with a one-year limited warranty from the date of original purchase. This warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship under normal residential use. If your product fails due to a covered defect within one year, we will repair or replace it at no additional charge. For example, Howell’s warranty similarly covers its smart products for the specified warranty period.
What’s Covered: Manufacturing defects, faulty components or workmanship. We will (at our option) repair the item, replace it with a new/refurbished unit, or issue a refund in accordance with our return policy.
What’s NOT Covered:
- Damage from misuse, abuse, accidents, water exposure, or improper installation.
- Altered or tampered products, or products serviced by unauthorized parties.
- Normal wear-and-tear (e.g. faded lenses), cosmetic damage, or consumables (batteries, bulbs).
- High-voltage surges, fire or other external factors. (Howell’s policy explicitly excludes accidental, electrical or natural disaster damage.)
Warranty applies only to the original purchaser with proof of purchase. It is not transferable.
To request a warranty claim, contact our support team with your order details and a description of the issue. As Howell instructs customers, reach out by email or phone. We may ask for photos or the item to be returned. Once authorized, ship the defective product to us (instructions will be provided). We will then repair or replace the item and ship it back to you. Return shipping is covered by Howell only if the defect is confirmed.
